Changes to travel advice for certain EEA/Schengen countries from 15 July

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is planning to make more exceptions to its travel advice against non-essential travel to all countries. From 15 July, the global travel advice will no longer apply to certain EEA/Schengen countries.

‘From 15 July, we are changing our travel advice for countries in Europe with acceptable levels of infection. The travel advice will be changed for countries that are excepted from the rules on quarantine on entry to Norway, that is countries that meet the criteria set by the Norwegian Institute of Public Health,’ said Minister of Foreign Affairs Ine Eriksen Søreide.

More information about the criteria and the countries/regions where travel restrictions have been relaxed can be found on the

Institute of Public Health’s webpages. This overview will be updated regularly.
